Spec's:
Caliber: 50 BMG Imp.
Stock: Manners HG - Carbon Fiber (from 10 years ago - wish he still made these but the molds have long been "worn-out") - color "
Outdoor-Green" (no clear coat)
Action: Barnard Model GP (ser. No. 007) 3 Lug, CM Receiver is 2.0" & just over 12" in length
Barrels: 1 Bartlein gain-twist 1-15.3 to 1-15.0 (increasing tw. rate), 1 Bartlein 1-15, 1 Lilja 1-15
All are 36.5" / 1.900 at chamber for 5", Straight taper to 1.700
Brake: EastRidge/State-Arms custom
Trigger: Barnard, customized by McLain Tilton back when he ran MT Guns - 2 stage, First stage is 8 oz. then final (2nd stage) breaks at 2 oz. , Also have a "standard' Barnard GP trigger that can be set to approx. 6-8 oz. with reliability.
Scope Base: Barnard 30 MOA
Scope: Sightron SVSS (27001) (non-ED model) mil-Hash Reticule, 0.05 MIL's per click, 70 MOA of elevation, of which 65 MOA is usable with internal scope controls (not counting hold-over using reticule) - (I managed a great deal 2 weeks ago on this scope on Amazon.) - Mounted on lapped NightForce Rings (1.375 high) (2 ea. 4 screw rings at back 2 ea. 6 screw rings up front).
Weight: About 48-49 Lbs.
Performance: 3000 fps with 800 gr. bullets & new fire-formed Lake City brass with Alliant RL-50 or V/V 20N29 is possible but accuracy seems to want to "live" around 2930 fps.(so far).
Now that I have Lapua brass I feel that even better accuracy can be achieved with all bullets, but the 800 gr. Lehigh Hybrid bore rider (0.504 front driving band & 0.510 rear driving band) which claims a BC of 1.124 seems to have better potential than previous bullets used. - Gun has shot several 5" groups (5 shots) at 1000 yds. in Shreveport & Raton (with WCC & LC brass)
