My new F-open gun.
It's a little bit different than most in apperance!
The work was done by Accurate Ordnance out of Winder, Georgia. The pictures were taken by Mr. Richard King.
The gun is chambered in .284 win for lapua brass and 180 hybrids.
Parts:
McMillian F-class stock
Pierce long action (single shot) cone bolt
Brux 31inch finish 1x9 twist (Brux F-class contour)
Jewel trigger
Nightforce Competition Scope
When I had Accurate Ordnance build it the only thing I specified was the stock, action, caliber and barrel length. I left the rest up to them. I think they did a pretty awesome job.
This rifle has taken a long time to finish. When it comes to building guns I always joke and say if it weren't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all. We started ordering parts in Sep 2012. Some how I managed to order the stock from Mcmillian for the wrong Pierce action. After a bunch of scrambling and hard work on Accurate Ordnance's part we were able to get my screw up fixed. Then we ran into a few more snags from there. They wanted to have the scope on hand before doing the coating. The first trigger was not up to standard with AO so they ordered another one and the list goes on. The rifle is finally done though and I couldn't be happier.

hi i am new to the forum and just spent the last hour drooling over the works of art in this thread i have never seen guns like these before i will be spending a great deal of time here in the near future

Thought I'd post up my new FO rifle.
Trued R700 w/ PTG Bolt, no ejector.
Kreiger 28" HV 1-8T 6x47L .266nk
Shehane Baby Tracker
Sightron SIII 10-50x60 LRFCH
Ken Farrell Base & Rings
Has shot a few 60's with decent X count on the ICFRA targets w/ Super V. Did a 60.6 on my first ever application with it at 700yds. Needless to say I was stoked.
It's going in for a Rechamber as I'm sick to death with dealing with turned necks and for the price of a decent neck turning kit, I can get a Rechamber job and run no turn brass. Will stay with 6x47L. Will also have a McM F-Class put on aswell as I have a 308 barrel for it aswell and I don't think that Baby Tracket will enjoy that too much.

My latest. Good entry level bolt gun in my humble opinion at a very good price, depending on options selected.
- Howa 1500 action and barrel in 223 Remington. 24" barrel, .825" muzzle, 1:12" twist.
- Bell & Carlson Tactical Medalist II stock. Bedded by Deadly Precision Gunsmithing (Utah).
- Murphy Precision stainless steel "0" degree scope rail. Bedded with JB Weld.
- Vortex Viper PST 6 - 24 x 50 EBR-1 MOA illuminated scope.
- Burris Signature Zee rings w/plastic inserts.
- Harris swivel bipod (temporarily robbed from my AR-15).
- KMW Pod Lock for bipod.
I might opt for a detachable mag from Howa. Just $100. I have since added a Bradley CheekRest riser (BUL model). The basic gun (Howa action, barrel, and stock (w/o bedding cost) was just $725. The scope doubled that, and the rest added another $380 or so.

Im sure it shoots too ;D Im tired of looking at shiny metal. I like my Harleys the same, all flat black paint and flat black powder coated pipes!

Nice pic, Greg. The gun turned out to be beautiful. The color is Brandywine... I don't think a camera can catch the "tricks" that this paint does, in person. Here is my current varminter
I first posted this rifle several years ago on page 2 when it was a 22-250 AI, but i had enough of speed and blast so i rebarreled in 22BR.
The Stiller Predator action now carries a 24" Pac Nor HV contour barrel chambered .22BR Norma .253"Nk with the muzzle threaded 5/8 UNF for a moderator, hidden by an invisible thread cap.
The Mcm Marksman stock is now finished in OD Krylon after relieveing the barrel channel.
All topped off with a Sightron SIII 8-32x56 target dot scope sat in Burris Signature Zee rings on a Third Eye Tactical Piccatinney base.
She shoots 55gr Berger Varmint @ 3480fps out of neck turned Lapua 6BR brass over a charge of Vit 135 sparked by a Fed 205M primer
