Hello I am new to this place. I really like what I see here. For about a year now I have participated in a few other surplus rifle forums but the expertise on them is a little lacking. This place seams to have a lot of experts so I thought I would come here. Not cause I am an expert but I really really want to learn more about precision shooting.

2 of mine, the redhead is a Howa 25-06 with a Boyds stock.

The blue one started life as a 223 Weatherby Vanguard. It now has a Shilen 26.5 inch .204 with a 1-12 twist in heavy varmit (damn heavy) with a Boyds stock, Timney trigger, and Vortex scope. Chambered in 20 practical it shoots like a dream. Smithing done by Miller gunsmithing in Montgomery MN.

Wow, what a beauty. May I ask, is the receiver diameter 1.18"? Or is it bigger? Just wondering because it seems kind of an odd diameter to choose. Beautiful rifle nonetheless sir.

Thanks. It was a lot of sweat and blood on this gun in the building process.

The receiver is about 1.25 (Mosins tend to vary a little though that is what I say "about"). I guess Lother Walther when they polished and centered it had to take about that much steel off the barrel blank that was originally 1.25

Nice Mosin! I shoot a stock M28-30 Finnish Mosin that was re arsenaled and barreled by Sako in 1934. Iron sights and all it balances sweet and has claimed its share of turkeys at our local Turkey Shoot every fall here in upstate NY. -Ron

Sako trg 22 in 308. LOng range precision f class bipod with sled feet and quick release, american rifle co m10 rings, hollqnd bubble level accushot monopod, roedale brake with mirage shield pin and a kahles 624i with msrk reticle.

THE 3 AMIGOS!

- The TAN rifle is my 308 Win. Manners T4A stock, trued Rem 700SA, Badger M5 DBM, Bartlein 5R 10-twist HV contour finished @ 23" with a Bushnell XRS 4.5-30X50 FFP G2 reticle scope.

- The Green rifle is my 223 Rem. Manners T4 stock, trued Rem 700SA, Badger M5 DBM, Bartlein 5R 8-twist HV contour finished @ 23" with a Nightforce NXS F1 3.5-15X50 FFP MLR2.0 reticle scope (THIS SCOPE AND RETICLE IS AWESOME!)

- The Black rilfe is my 6.5-47 Lapua. Manners T4A stock, Stiller TAC 30, Badger M5 DBM, Bartlein 5R 8.5-twist Bull Barrel (1" @ muzzle) finished @ 26" with a Nightforce NXS 8-32X56 NP2DD reticle

Thanks. Lots of hard work and overtime to afford them. I have a 3rd one being built now. Same exact stock, but it's black. Instead of a trued Rem700 action, I'm gonna build it off a Stiller TAC 30 action with a Jewell trigger. Another Bartlein barrel and Badger DBM too. Its chambered in 6.5-47 Lapua.

Thanks guys. I put the wenge stripes in to fix two cracks in the Birdseye Maple. I was not sure about it at the time but it turned out well.
