700 SS Rem, trued and tweaked , Shillen fluted ,Select Match barrel with JP brake in B&C adj stock .Leupold glass in Weaver HD rings on a 20degree base .
Parked beside it is my Pedersoli Sharps in 45-70

The Following Pics are of some stocks that a friend of mine started making for us, These are the first stocks that he has ever tried to make and with each one they get better and better...
This one is #3 made from maple.....It too has a Savage Model 12 target action with a 28" Precision Rifle and Tool 6mmbr barrel.

This my friends is #4, it's mine...As you can see he just keeps getting better at making these stocks....this is all done by hand, with hand tools, no milling machines here.....This one is made from maple and Black walnut, the inlets on each side were also cut out by hand with the walnut cut to fit.....Check these out.

It is finally here.
Bat model M action, Barrel switch gun, 6BR and 308, Shehane tracker stock, Nightforce 12-42. Havent fired it yet...that will come on Friday and Saturday.

I built this rifle while going to school at The Colorado School of Trades Gunsmithing School. Its a short action left hand Savage action, Krieger MTU contour 30" pipe 1:8" tw, Joel Russo Manners MCS T-2 stock, and on top is a Leupold VX-3 8.5-25x50. The reamer was throated for 105-107gr bullets and is a no turn neck. I pillar bedded the stock with devcon and aluminum pillars, and finished the stock with Tru Oil. I shoot Sierra 107 MatchKings with 30gr of Varget, Fed match primers, and Lapua cases. My best 5 shot group at 600y was 1.6" and best for 5 at 1000y was right around 5"! I absolutely love shooting this rifle!

Tactical Works Bolt handle
SSS .25" recoil lug
OLD factory savage stock - purchased form forum member. (Pillar bedded and refinished with 3x coats of automotive clear)
Karsten's Custom Cheek Rest B-Model
Tuned factory trigger - nice and crisp!
Used 8-twist barrel, no barrel nut, chambered by a friend from this site. (Thanks Jimbo!!!!) about 22" lenght
SS 16X scope on ultra-high Burris Sig Zee rings (Needed ultra-high for ejected cases to clear the windage knob)
All work done by me (except the barrel/chamber)
This was the first time I tried pillar bedding, stock finishing, and it's the first cartridge where I need to fireform. I've learned a lot from this project!
Couldn't tell you how it shoots yet... haven't been able to get to the range! I'm sure some people are curious about the velocity of a 6Dasher out of 22" barrel. I'll post in the main message area when I have some chrono data.

Here is a follow up to to my curly maple 6.5x55AI I posted about a year ago. I'll call this "Glam Tac Mk.II"
The stock was cut and inletted by Joel Russo. I actually picked up the blank on ebay. The fore arm tip and grip cap are Bubinga. It is shaped off of a B&C Medalist but Joel increased the LOP by 1" to fit me better. Specs are as follows:
Savage RB/LP target action
Shilen select match prefit in 20 Vartarg. I also have a Pac Nor .223AI to try on it some day.
EGW HD base and Burris Signature Zee rings.
Vorex Viper 6.5-20x44BDC
Harris 9-13 bi-pod.
I did all the final finish work, bedding, and assembly. Now to see if it shoots!

I might be a little twisted here. I figure nobody wants to see pics of my bone stock Savage f?tr now matter how well it shoots.
So check out these guy's.
Browning Creedmoor in 45-90. I shoot a 560grn bullet at a little less than 1200 fps 20 ft. from the muzzle.
C Sharps business rifle in 45-70 with a heavy 34" octogon barrel. MVA 6X scope and MVA mounts
At our 500 yd range
