Offical Reloading Bench Picture Thread

If you saw mine I would kicked out of the club so to speak.I would put up a pic or two but my pics wont resize as they are too fine of a resolution.

My Dad and I built this bench in 1968 for the both of us to use. All mine now. That is an RCBS A2 all steel press on the right. Anyone here still using one?

My "loading bench" is in my "loading room", which, by day, is the wash stall at my dealership. Everything gets hosed down with water at least twice a day...weather it needs it or not.

I actually cleaned a spot out last night to do a little prep work on some brass.

Nuff said.

Well ask yourself how much your time is worth, for me the Prometheus Gen2 was worth it, to the kernel every 8-10 seconds, when I picked it up at Brand Coles shop my Gen2 had a ES of .006 grains for 10 charges of 40.0 Varget, less time reloading means more time shooting, and my wife is happy I got it, what used to take me all day now is a couple hours for 250 rounds.

New Guys,
I humbly suggest you keep it simple or it becomes frustrating clutter. First, pick a discipline and focus, nobody does all the shooting sports very well.
A non-sparking environment is helpful as you are working with explosives and could upset the neighbors. Stainless tables and easily accessible storage work well for me. Keep your powder and primers in isolated containers. Eventually an isolated area/room for the powder and scales. All areas must be easily cleanable.
Even if you stay with one shooting discipline and one caliber, it will eventually get crowded. Try to keep your work areas separate, good luck with that...
Great shooters will tell you, great groups must begin at the loading bench. Repeatability is everything. Achieving load accuracy and repeatability is satisfying and creates confidence at the shooting bench. Without it, you can only guess as to why you missed.

One of the good things about hobbies is that you get to do them the way that suits you. I would never tie up space with a dedicated reloading room or bench, primarily because I prefer to experiment loading at the range, and for those few occasions when I do preload, I have made a way to mount my press to a desk that serves multiple functions. On the other hand, for those who reload at home a lot, this would not be the best setup. I have a friend that has a Dillon press bolted down to one end of his rather nice looking garage work bench. He uses it, at most twice a year. The rest of the time it is an impediment. I would imbed threaded pieces in the bench, that were flush to the top, and mount the Dillon on a wall bracket the rest of the year. Different strokes.....I dislike making work surfaces into shelves where things are stored when not in use. Which reminds me, I really need to clean off this desk.

Here a few of my loading stations in my basement.

#2 Loading bench
#3 Scale and Data Center

Remodeled the gun/reloading room this year using some retired kitchen cabinets. Gave me a place to store bullets, brass, primers and powder other than the counter top. The steel plate for the reloading press is drilled and tapped for the hole spacing on 4 presses so I only need space for one and its a quick change to a different press.

Well, here's my shop pic showing the reloading section. Sorry it's not clean because I'm actually reloading now. ;D

BTW, I see a lot of nice setups here and also now I know where all powder, primers are at! >:(

After moving late in 2013 I have a basement to work with now or the first time since 1972. Started framing January last year; first pic is from about this time a month later. Second pic is late last week once I got bench top (1-1/2" thick, 2 sheets of hardwood veneer-ply) painted & set in place.

This week I've added shelves. Working out likely positions for my four presses now.

Large area to the right is the "doggy spa" table, directly outside finished-half-bath that saves me a walk up stairs and as their 'bath house' from time to time.
