Well, I'm not up there with skeetlee and ridgeway, but I'm trying. I'm still working, so I can't stray to far from home for matches, but I take my share of first places as you can see from my 'wall of fame' If I were to put all the certificates up for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place it would cover a wall. My wife finally figured out that if she wanted to spend time with me, she needed to go to the matches. Next thing I knew, she wanted to shoot, so I built rifles for here and last time out she beat us all with a perfect score on the egg shoot.
Yes, that's my bed behind the reloading bench. I live, eat, breathe and sleep with my guns and reloading stuff. We wear the sidearms around the house. You never know when you are going to look out the window and see a varmint that needs dispatched. I generally take a half dozen or so groundhogs right around the house each year. The coyotes are getting thicker all the time. It can be a cacophony around here in the late evenings.
here's the wall of fame and the entire supplies wall. You can see the gun-safe, but you can't see the hidden cameras (well, what did you expect from an electrical engineer).
Here's a close up of the bullets and primers. I finally found some more Berger 6MM hybrids today. What you see here is just enough to finish out the season.
Here's a shot of the powder and brass.
Here's a few barrels, most of them varmint shooters. The short one is a 30Br that I win the custom matches with. I'll have a new 32", 7mm tube here tomorrow. It's a straight 1 1/4: destined to be a .284 shehane for my 1 mile prairie dog attempt. I'll make sure the chamber is done correctly this time.
It's been good to get out and meet some of the shooting community. You never know when we might have to work together to protect this land from being overrun some day.
