Off set rings

I was in discussion with a individual last week. I mentioned i used offset rings to help me keep my face off the scope. .
He mentioned at 100 yards he didnt see a issue with them but at 200 he said it would cause a problem.
Now im not experienced enough atm to really now idmf there is any truth to it at all..
Have yall experienced this or have a opinion on offset rings

Offset meaning more forward ? Theres no issue with that. Lots of us position shooters use cantilevered mounts to get proper eye relief in prone and sitting so your neck is comfortable. All the way out to 1000 yds
IMHO you’d have more problems without proper eye relief

Offset rings usually means it the scope is offset to the side left or right of the receiver depending on right or left-handed.

Yeah but I’ve seen it meant fore and aft too
As far as that goes left to right
One of our older shooters lost an eye but didn’t want to learn to shoot left handed
He built mounts for his match rifle sights and scopes to keep shooting right handed. He continued to shoot master which is what he shot before

Yes mine are offset to rhe left
OR (LOL) if you turn them around they'll be offset to the right! I have a couple of pair in 30 and 34MM (no, they are not for sale) and I just installed a set tonight. I've been using them for years, humm, with my score maybe that is another excuse I can have for the tack driver!!! Thanks Larry! LOL
