Odd burr on shoulder junction???? HELP

Guys I have a odd thing happening when I resize my 300 RUM I set the die to bump the shoulder on my fired brass .002-.003 verified and measured with comparators but I am noticing a shape burr on the junction where the shoulder meets the body. It's not extreme but it's a rough burr like edge that runs all the way around the case which seemed odd to me and is not something I have ever seen. Have any of you seen this happen what was the cause if so? Given that I am getting the right bump it does seem a bit odd to me and I am not sure what it could be any advise greatly appreciated.
Best

djtjr ........

It would be good to see a quality picture of your resized cases. So far, it sounds like a dirty or a defective die.

Ok will try to post one when I get to my desktop but it's a redding type s and I can't see much in there that would be wrong unless it just needs a polish. The photo doesn't show much as it's just like a fine sharp edge and not really a bulge like you get if you blow it setting up the die and you get too much compression

djtjr,
I have never heard of that but the only thing that it really could be I think is your bushing, pull it out and turn it over and try it again and see what happens, if not it must be on the shoulder of your die, you could also pull the bushing altogether and see what happens ;) hope this helps and good luck.

djtjr,

I had a Redding .22-250 die that left a ring around the shoulder right at the shoulder-body junction. Sent pictures to Redding and they replaced it.

It sounds like tooling rings from machining that got missed in their process.I had a .260 type s full length resizer and it never got reamed after they made it and it destroyed my new cases that I tried to size in it. They got it back and less than 2 weeks it was replaced. Call them monday and ask for chris(technician) and tell him you will ship it back .You must send him 3 or 4 affected cases so they can trouble shoot the problem and a couple good unsized cases. Mark them well so they know which ones are which and I can guarantee you will get the problem solved. They took good care of me,I am very satisfied .Good luck on monday.
