That's not a "gouge". . . it's a fold. Apparently, there was so much of the shoulder being compresses that it could only fold like that.I was reloading some rounds today when I noticed a piece has a odd-looking gouge on the shoulder, wondering if anyone has seen anything like this?
It's a piece of Lapua 6 BR Norma, maybe 4 times fired.
Thanks.

New/unfired?
You would think it would blow out upon firing the first time.Happens from time to time with all the manufactures. Amazes me how I find something like this after a few reloads. You would think that a reloader would see stuff like that for as much as we handle the brass.
