NSS "Savage Takeoff Barrel"

If it was in that condition before you shot it, it had more than factory proof rounds down it. Will NSS apply the cost towards a new barrel? It would seem like a good business practice.

I would assume James would at least bore scope the new take off barrels he has before offering them for sale. Lot's here that just doesn't seem right, not that I'm disbelieving your experience. I've had nothing but good experiences with NSS and it's hard to fathom he'd sell a grape stake barrel, what with his reputation.

I suugested to him that the remedies you suggest would be "good business practice". My suggestion fell on deaf ears.

I'm amazed that you would be calling NSS out on this. You bought a Savage barrel from them, they didn't make it. Your Cabela's barrel is also Savage made. You bought a non warrantied barrel from the clearance section and you want NSS to be responsible? Put the responsibility where it belongs, on the buyer and Savage.

Well Bigguy, I imagine you're probably amazed by almost anything. If you choose to do business with them, that's your issue. I merely reported the facts of my personal experience.

The point of the thread is that it was "represented to be" a new barrel. The heavily pitted 6Creedmoor barrel looked the same through a borescope but shoots great.
I always appreciate the sarcasm of a smarta$$.

I stand by my statement, new was not mentioned, but pitted and fouled before installing was.
