NRA Elections again.

I just sent them a letter stating why I was resigning, never got a reply, but the magazine was stopped. I had not heard from them for many years, they didn't send anything asking for "donations to WLP". The NRA had the annual meeting in Seattle, I don't remember the year. I spoke with a NRA employee from Vancouver, WA. he was involved with the targeting shooting. I commented that we needed to get more legislative Democrats involved, to stop the arguments and legislation. His comment was "but they're so liberal on everything else". He had no idea on how to be successful. I have lobbied and testified for legislation. That is when I quit donating. I think I resigned in the early 1990s. When an NRA finance person went to the Rocky Mtn. Elk Foundation as its leader, I quickly resigned from that organization also. NRA employees and Board members had to know of the theft and poor money management. I am 'gun shy' about belonging to any organization. "Fool me once whoops, fool me twice my fault"
Democrats in the NRA???? Democrats are part of the problem. Why was the NRA targeting shooting?

Legislation is written or passed by BOTH sides. It is much easier to get cooperation and inform in committee meetings than on the floor of either house. Logic wins, NOT EMOTION, YELLING and SCREAMING and STUPIDITY. Go to your state capitol, sit in a committee meeting, then go to the full legislature, and see how it works. Shooters are victims of poor and ineffective legislation because of not participating or not participating effectively.

Voting Democrat for "your wallet" and living under the illusion that the Democrats have no intention of outlawing and even taking away all firearms if they can, will probably yield neither outcome, especially concerning maintaining firearms rights.

GOA has a list of NRA candidates they recommend voting for. The Buckeye Firearms Association emailed this list to me today.

Charles Rowe is the only person I would recommend voting for.
I have known Charles Rowe and his wife via their efforts at large matches and the US teams. Both very good folks and Charles is now retired and only willing to do this because he wants to help fix the NRA and get it back to what was supposed to be in terms of fighting for our gun rights and helping the next generations get involved in shooting and competition.

I will also vote for Kim Rhode. I have known her since she was a young girl learning the shotgun sports long before she had her first Olympic medals. By now, she knows both the legal fight as she is one of the plaintiffs on a battle for gun rights, and she certainly knowns what it means to restore the education and competition parts of the NRA as well.
