NRA Membership Meeting

Gold $$ Contributor
The NRA Membership Meetings, as announced in the Bulletin will be next month. I would encourage all members that are able, to attend the MEETING, not just the displays. It is imperative that the Members give direction to the organization, take charge. The failures and poor performance of the 75 member board and leadership have been documented and demonstrated. WLP and I believe others should be prosecuted. I saw last week another legal judgement, in a D.C. court, against the operation of an NRA "charity", illegal use of the 'charity' money. These are not errors in judgement or book keeping mistakes, PEOPLE BROKE THE LAW, no 'ya, buts, or what ifs', CROOKS, THIEVES. One article stated WLP had about $500 K in suits, wow he must of slept in them. If we want a viable organization the MEMBERSHIP MUST BE IN CHARGE, some of the by-laws may need change. Let me repeat, POOR ABILITY AND CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR HAS BEEN DEMONSTRATED AND DOCUMENTED by WLP and the BOARD. Please help rebuild an organization I would be proud to belong to again.

You nailed it George. Patriot Benefactor life member here. The leadership destroyed themselves. Just remember, there are a lot of people who volunteer, educate, and train that aren't on the board. From election door knockers to RSO's to firearm safety instructors. Don't discount them. They are the NRA. Not, WLP and his cronies.

The NRA does have many good people on staff and so many wonderful volunteers that would be most welcome in my home or elk camp. It is failed leadership and board members that are my concern. As I have said before they have failed the membership. I will ad they have failed the employees and the volunteers also. The same failed leadership and board will not be able to re-gain the lost members trust or the donations that were stolen. WLP, the leadership and the board members need to be prosecuted. The stolen revenue did not happen because of ignorance, error or book keeping mistakes, it was out right stolen from the organization and the members. The officers of a 501 (c) non profit, ignored the fiduciary responsibility placed in them. I do not trust them.

Sadly, like the federal government, and despite the efforts of several good men like Tom Selleck, Oliver North, and Ted Nugent, I believe the NRA has crossed the point of no return. Like a cancer that has spread too far, the cure required to eliminate the disease would overwhelm the body.

Several of the shooting clubs I belong to require NRA membership. If not for that I would no longer keep it. I am largely embarrassed by it.
