NRA board election

Bat Rastard

Gold $$ Contributor
I have my ballot. I am not well informed on who is who, and what is what.

I would like to vote with a broom and start fresh. The powers that be, have put our organization into dire straights.

Can can an informed member please walk me through my ballot?

Thanks, Bat

Howard (Walt) Walter has been to NRA championships and has been the shooters friend for as long as I can remember, so He'll make a good director. Mark Robinson is our Lt. Governor so he will be of no benefit that I can see even though he is on our side.

What's the point Stalin told us about elections and counting votes. i am sure WLP has read the book.

My NRA membership ran out in October of '22. I have not renewed it ..... yet. I hate to, but will have to if I want to participate in some of the f class matches I go too. I usually do 5 year renewals and have for the last 20 years. At 63 if I renew it will be another 5 years. No way would I put out the coin for a Lifetime membership.

My VFW magazine has plenty of 'blinged out' pistol and coin advertisements. But at least their core articles are usually worth the read. The NRA articles seem to be talking about the obvious, asking for support, and....much of the same each and every mag.
But I believe in what the VFW DOES! I haven't been an NRA member for 25 years because of the stupid calls and mailers.

Not to derail - I gave up on the VFW and the NRA. Neither of these organizations no longer represent values that I agree with or adhere to. I don't wish them ill, if they someday correct course I would support them again, but I cannot in good conscience be a member of either under current management and practice.

The NRA doesn’t count the votes fraudulently. They cheat differently. Only the Nominating Committee (controlled by the current board… of WLP cronies) can put a name on the ballot. It’s technically possible to get on the ballot without being nominated by the nominating committee, but that requires the signatures from a huge number of life members (whose names and contacts the NRA won’t let you have if you aren’t in the club already).

It is actually and technically impossible to get any more money out of me till WLP is gone. And then I would wait a bit to see if the new director was needing way more suits and travel expenses than necessary.

It happens every time an NRA thread appears: All the naysayers chime in on how bad the NRA is, and they will never send them another dime, blah blah blah.

Someone name a single organization, or individual, who has done even a fraction of what the NRA has done, and continues to do, over the years.

Waiting.

You are absolutely right about the past, I would be proud to support the NRA of the past. However this is not the past, WLP has spent millions defending his theft of money from NRA members. i am not have 5 or 6 phone calls each week panhandling money to keep WLP in his rock star status. Get your head out of the sand and support someone who will spend your money on protecting your rights not a $10,000 suit or a trip to the spa for Mrs WLP, or a trip to the Bahamas for extended family.
