I lost everything I made over the past 18 months, over the past 2 weeks. Sold most of my portfolio 3 days ago, and now feel pretty stupid.

I don’t invest much, and I don’t rely on these investments... but I worked pretty damn hard for that money!!

You seemed to think hoarding was ok 7 years ago:

There will be some casualties in the E&P companies in the energy sector. The levered ones are about to go through bank redeterminations, and with oil in the 30’s it’s going to be chap 11 for several.

I'm on the side that thinks this panic is over-blown, and --- well, stupid.

I feel sorry for the folks who will lose their jobs, the business's that will fold, and the economic lost ground that won't be recovered for who knows how long.

Don't forget that there are plenty of folks who spent their resources and energy to start an enterprise and become a part of the machine that feeds us, and them. Supply something that we need - or love.
A big part of the business that would have come their way, simply isn't going to. jd

Part of this is mitigated by the bill that just passed in Congress. They know that there is more to do. We will see if the unity can hold long enough for Congress to do something productive.

When the Chinese government closed off Wuhan I sold everything in my IRA. Viruses can be controlled to some extent, they cannot be eliminated. We are in a bear market now and probably a recession.

Now it is time to hunker down. Outings will be limited to the range. I will probably reload more than I can shoot. Let's hope components don't become scarce. Good thing I am only 60 miles from Brownells.

My wife is a Licensed Principal at a major financial firm , and she converted funds from saving and other accounts on Friday to our portfolio FOR OBVIOUS REASONS . If you really understand the markets . Much of the "CRISIS" has been created by the radical left-wing , lame-stream media . They've been waiting , praying and hoping for something like this to happen for over three years now . And publicly said so , more than once . To paraphrase Henry David Thoreau , "Fear not faint of heart , for even this too , shall come to pass" . Since we began being "Preppers" , when it was still a dirty word , we have supplies on hand that people are currently "panic buying" and fighting over . And this has allowed her to tell me to go buy Powder , bullets , primers , and whatever else I may "need" for the intermediate future . This will pass ; and POTUS will still be managing the country in a positive fashion . The market will re-bound and go higher than it was , and that "OTHER" party will move on to it's next "CREATED" crisis . Take a breathe , everyone .
