Now, the million dollar question regarding UPS and FedEx and licensed individuals

I think what I'm going to do is just try to open an account with my license and see what happens. The sad part is if they don't know they probably will just say no.

I'm going to bet that what ever answer you get will not be worth anything. My experience with regulatory questions is that if the answer isn't in writing it's has no value, and the lower on the ladder the person is the less they know and they can't be "wrong" by just saying "No". I've had a FedEx regional 'expert' try to tell me that something can't be a "limited quantity" and an "excepted package" at the same time, which is exactly the point of LQs.

The reality is that without going way up the chain, and even then, you probably won't find anyone in a position of authority that knows the difference in a Class 2 or a 7 or a C&R.

If it's worthwhile to you, then open the acct with your FFL and roll with it. It's a corporate issue, not a regulatory issue. You can't be charged with anything if they change their mind.

If ups and FedEx wants to play this game why not give the businesses to USPS? I have shipped usps for years because we have no ups or FedEx depot's here. I have never had anything lost or damaged outside of a trigger shoe or two.

[This is pure speculation]: I doubt UPS or FedEx know anything about the difference in classes of FFL's. You either have on or not.

[Oops. Just noticed XTR said the same thing.]

Exactly.

Leave.

Other than you will have to charge more to the customer, because shipping USPS is outrageous.

The truth is that they could just say screw it tomorrow and tell the entire gun business they don't want your business.

The banks already did it. Credit card processors already did it. People need to get ready, I see it as a real possibility.

"Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed."

Nothing new under the sun -it isn't 'quite' the same thing as the founders were addressing, but the principles involved, and normal human behavior being what it is, they knew the answers.

O c'mon....these grade school dropouts gotta work somewhere.

If the patriots in this country 250 years ago were like Americans today, we would still be an English state.

People are so busy complying with every little thing. They never push back. There are a lot of us, if we would just STOP COMPLYING!!!
Funny but that may not as bad as it sounds.
Did you ever listen to the prime minister’s question and answer period on TV?
Whether I agree with them or not you have to be incredibly intelligent to handle the barrage of questions varying from street lights on a road to what to do in the Middle East. And they want the answers right then.
We have an entire group especially the leaders who struggle remembering what day it is.
They are a dreadful embarrassment in every respect.

I called UPS, sounded like someone in India, an idiot. That idiot transferred me to the supervisor, bigger idiot. Both spoke broken English, and neither knew their own company's policy.
That is a complete fact, a few years ago I walked into the local Kalispell UPS to send a gun and the lady I know told me they changed there policy had to go FFL to FFL I said when did that happen she said recently per her supervisor I said o.k went out to my truck got on the UPS site and it clearly stated long guns can go non ffl to ffl.
I walked back in had her read the policy she called her supervisor they chatted for a minute and sent the gun for me, clearly her supervisor didn't read there own policy

The parallel economy does credit card processing for you with 100% non communism involved

Well if you hold a C&R FFL by all means you’re are an FFL holder, I’d go with it. If they ask “are you an FFL dealer” simply say “yes” as it is a fact you hold an FFL. :)

Ask them for a print out of their regulation re: the license statis needed, etc.
