From time to time I have a customer have their UPS or USPS request a copy of my FFL to insure that the recipient at my address is in fact a licensed FFL.
When an FFL sends you a copy of their FFL, "DON'T FRIGGIN GIVE IT TO THEM (UPS or US POSTAL), AND DON'T LET THEM AFFIX IT TO THE OUTSIDE OF THE PACKAGE". They can look at it but that is all. If they would get off their lazy butts they could check it on line with BATF ezchecks.
There is a federal law prohibiting firearms being shipped, and being identified as a firearm on the outside of the package. Also a UPS "TARRIF" (policy) prohibiting firearms being externally identifiable.
Yes, I am pissed because I got a rifle sent to me Friday with my licensed affixed to the outside of the package so as any one could pull it off and make a copy of it.
Don't expect the folks at UPS, FedEx or USPS to have good sense. So use your brain before you ship.
