I finally made it out last night and got to stretch the legs of my 25-06 Aclkey a little bit. I was having some issues with load development with 115VLDs, so made a quick switch to 100gr Nosler BTs. Groups got to what I consider acceptable for varmint hunting, so on I went. First shot of the evening was 304 yards. Put 1.5 minutes on the elevation and hit a little high in the back. Second shot of the evening was 630 yards. Ran it into Bulletflight, as I had no data past 200 yards worked up. Sqeezed the round off and thanks to the muzzle brake, centered the crosshairs back on the animal before the bullet impacted as a clean miss. Lowered the elevation from 9MOA down to 7.75, favored about 1MOA for wind and rolled it. DRT. I'll post a few pictures this evening.
Happy hunting!
