Norma Dasher Hydro Formed +.040 to Long Dasher

I think you are barking up the wrong tree bye hydro forming to a longer dasher .
P.S. my personal opinion because I have been working with this brass in its original form an I think that is as good as this brass is capable of.

Thank you for your valued opinion.

I am sure there will be some that will experiment with a 6.5 Long Dasher as well. Or a 7mm Dasher for silhouettes. Or a 25 Dasher using 115 VLD Bergers.

The point is, the long necks allow one to look out of the box and not follow the leader.

I feel is your like the rest you can only do like they do . I haven't been on QL but with the option of using different powders you will be the same . Larry

could the shell holder be threaded and just screw a plug in ? use a 1/4 " bolt , or what ever size fits , and cut the hex off for a plug . a little loc tite on the threads to hold it from coming out .

I'm more of a mind to drill to nearest tap size, and put a plug style set screw in......IF you wanted it sealed when installed, Loctite.

There are people who wildcat and people who don`t, i like to see the experimentation some amazing things have come from it.

Having the brass available to simplify the wildcatting process is a blessing for those who choose to go that route, for those who don`t, the brass is ready to run....with or without a few modifications.

I personally like to see the experimentation, even if it`s a road that i choose not to travel, i can make that decision based on facts not fiction.

Carry on.....

Phil.

I would like to see someone experiment with a 6.5 Long Dasher for 600 yard competition! This just might be the perfect case for it! I played with the 6.5 Lapua all one winter when it first came out . I was very close to the accuracy of the 6BR and Dasher, but just could not get the day to day consistancy of the 6mm. I actually shot the smallest group I ever have at 600 yards here at my home range with the 6.5 Lapua with H4350 and Berger 130VLD's. I shoot 4 shot groups when testing at 600. One dead calm, perfect conditioned morning, I shot a 0.357 group at 600 yards with the 6.5 Lapua! But it was not consistent from day to day. I finally gave up on the 6.5 for 600 yard competition and went back to the 6mm. Samuel Hall
