well lets see how they will shoot and how accurate they are before we throw all our old brass away!
so,,,if you are ordering/designing a reamer you must know the base line (.200") dim. ??? what is it,,,the brass has to fit the chambers of hundreds of existing chambers/rifles out here or it wont work,,,if our chamber dims are .471 +/- a little the base has to be ~.468 to work,,,if they made it like the old Remington dim. (.465 +/-) then they will swell and loose primer pokets,no matter how good the metal is,,I shure hope that they made them the same as Lapua (CIP dims),,,Roger
... the blend of the brass (the metal itself) combined with the double stamping of the heads....
Well they mustabeen learning something from what Hornady figured out when they started production of 6HAGAR brass a few years ago then!
The double-strike on the heads really goes a long way towards making case heads more resistant to pocket stretch, particularly among those who lean towards full-power loads at the very first loading!
Almost makes me want to go & have a Dasher chambered....
How about some NORMA 250 Savage brass![]()
Yep I believe that is why they make trimmers. The longer you can make that neck the longer that barrel will last. I would have got new reamers and hoped for .125 longer. MattIf made with longer necks, gives everyone options... a win, win, all the way around !.!.!
Short necks would work for some, but disappoint others.....
Myself, I desire to end up with +1.565" for length, and really really really hope there made to .4685 to 469" in base/web diameter, which matches Lapua specs. The current Norma 6mmBR brass have smaller base/web diameters and get hurt very easy with the commonly used 6Dasher chamber dimensions.
