Knight Bullets. Brady and Billy Stevens stayed with us one night on their way to the Cactus a few years ago.was he the wind flag daisy guy?
Great choice! Brady was definitely one of a kind. I think he just finished singing about some frog on a log.I am going to to add some shooters who have passed and their contributions were not necessarily in shooting excellence. These shooters made going to a match worthwhile whether one shot well or not. The first that I will post is Mr. Brady Knight.View attachment 1513309
I have one of his zippered powder measure bags and a butstock sock (the thing you put over the butstock when cleaning). Didn’t he also sew all of those things for Sinclair? Here is a man from north of the border (Canada) who recently passed away. He was loved and respected by many. Mr. Bill Gammon will be missed at the matches.
Randy Robinett, Mike Bigelow, Tom Gollob and myself went to Dublin, Ga. one year for the IBS Score Nationals. We all were shooting both VFS and Hunter guns. Brady was on the bench to my right and on practice day I was setting up my Hunter gun. He said he'd never looked through a 6X scope at a Score target and asked if he could take a look through mine. He sat there quite a while then got up and said: "There's somethin' wrong with you-all."Brady Knight…….”In the Pines,, In the Pines”

Here’s a Wilbur And Brady story.Another who immediately comes to mind is Mr. Wilbur Harris, founder and head mediator of Benchrest Central, shown here with our friend Brady Knight mentioned abovel Wilbur was the NBRSA southeast regional director director for many years and helped many beginning shooters get involved. He is missed.
Bart,Here’s a Wilbur And Brady story.
We are all shooting Kettlefoot. Brady brought a humongous loading tent/tarp/pole thingy for everyone to reload under. There was probably 20 of us under it. Wilbur was reloading at the far end. Conditions were light on Sunday. Unbeknownst to Brady he had a scope going bad. By the afternoon Brady could barely keep his shots on target.
So Brady comes back from the firing-line after another monster group. Throws down his rifle and announces ,“Don’t you Sumbitches try running off without helping me put this tarp up. I’ve got a pistol and I’ll shoot your ass!”
Wilbur doesn’t raise his head, he just looks over his reading glasses and says, “I think if we all just bunch up real close, I don’t think he can hit us.”

Wilbur once caught me red handed trying to steal his rifle barrel. At least, that is the way that my travelling partner, the late Marshall Peacock saw it. I went to the "post" at Kelbly's to change my barrel. Wilbur was there waiting to change his. After I got through, I picked up what I thought was my barrel and started into the "barn". A polite voice said, "I believe that you have my barrel." Marshall was close enough to hear this and he never let me forget the day I tried to steal Wilbur's barrel. That is another great BR memory.Another who immediately comes to mind is Mr. Wilbur Harris, founder and head mediator of Benchrest Central, shown here with our friend Brady Knight mentioned abovel Wilbur was the NBRSA southeast regional director director for many years and helped many beginning shooters get involved.
