No Bullet Fire Forming 6PPC?

you had it right originally and should have stopped there.
simple math. expand a 220 russian case to 6mm, seat a 6 mm bullet and
it WILL NOT CHAMBER in a common 6 ppc 262 chamber. you confused everything else but 6ppc with a POSSIBLE issue, but we're are talking 6ppc so your comment was out of place as posted. plain and simple.

It's Lapua brass, so It would make sense to me that they would use the same process to make both the Russian and Grendel brass.

I agree..."should" be the same. Would stand to reason that brass formed this way would be well formed from the get-go...you could even set for the slightest crush fit if desired.

...would you even need to purchase a body die? Wondering if you could simply use a FL bushing die without the bushing on the first step, then add desired busing on the second step,,,maybe each time pushing the shoulder back a little further.

Next time I have to make PPC brass, I'm just going to run some 6.5 Grendel brass into my body sizing die, neck turn, then just shoot it.

I expand the necks, turn them, size the neck, load a bullet at hard jam and shoot , simple. I use them as foulers, over several matches you have new cases and no extra rounds down a barrel.

+1 ^^^ . Or a brass service that will hydroform and possibly turn the necks if needed or wanted. WD.

No, I haven't. There hasn't been any available sinceI started looking for it. It's made from the same blank as the .220 Russian, so I'm hoping for a lot less faffing around to get it into shape.
