Can you adjust the illumination level on a nightforce nxs?

None of mine do ...... they just turn on, and off....

Yes, they are. But it requires minor disassembly of the focus cap to get to the,very) small potentiometer to do so. The Nightforce owner's manual shows how,page 5). It's meant to be set and left alone for low-light usage only.

I just bought a BR 12X42X56 CH3 model and my illumination can't be seen under setting 7 even in a dark room ?? Even at setting 10 it's barely visible. I tried a new battery and still no better. Is this a common thing? Is there a way to fix this?
