Brushes are the cheapest thing we use. Buy good ones in quantity and pitch them when done.
I like the brushes from Bruno's - $18 per dozen or $1.50 each. In practice, I use them a couple of times and then pitch them. If I am shooting a match, I start with a new one and throw it out at the end.

As a larger brush wears the brisols will flex and break, do not try to use larger brushes. This may not happen with nylon brushes?
