You would enjoy a 22br...mine is 7.5 twist for 73g and 75's. But it works very well with the 53g vmax.
A 6gt would be another along with 22 creed.

Sounds like you already have a really good collection of cartridges from Big to small!

If I were to spend your money for you, I'd pick a 300wsm or 7 saum for hunting, maybe even a 25 saum for elk and deer.

For target and plinking: 6br or 6gt or variant of those. Just went to a buddies property, he had a 6x45 built and we ripped off 200 rounds with it the other day, really fun little cartridge and his rifle was very accurate. If I'm target shooting/plinking these days, I'm almost always shooting 500/600 yards and in. Furthermore if I'm making a trip to the range I'm bringing 50+ rounds with me, to make it worth my while, so I prefer something low in recoil to keep it enjoyable for me.

Thanks. Leaning towards the 30 cal/wsm option. Already have a 6BRA I use for target/plinking.

If for hunting 284 Winchester?. Brother in law has one. Stupid accurate. I use a different caliber. For just targets.. 223 bolt action. 20 calibers are fun also

Have considered the 223 bolt before, but went with a 204. Made bad decision when I sold it. Thanks for the reply.

Right now, based on a lot of the replies, am definitely leaning towards the 30's - 06 or WSM. Definitely something about the nostalgic allure of the 06, though.

A good hunting weight rifle in 308 or 30-06. Trim 20” bbl 308 or a standard 22-24” bbl 30-06. If a magnum is wanted, 7 RSAUM, 300 WSM, or 300 PRC.

When I had the 204, my plan was to convert to 20VT when the barrel wore out. Unfortunately, had to sell the 204.

I know exactly what you need: a quartebore. Take a 6.5x47 Lapua and neck it up to 25 cal. Incredible performance and accuracy.

I don't have an 06'.
Don't really need one.
Actually the only 30 caliber that I own is a M1 Carbine.
And I wouldn't hesitate to hunt anything in North America with any of the 7mm that I have.
7mm-08AI through 7mm Weatherby.

Since I don't have WSM, or handload for one, I'm not sure of the availability of components for one. But it is something that you might want to take into consideration.
I know a few years ago that brass was hard to find for WSM & RSAUM.
