I don't don't post often on here, but this morning I achieved my personal best long distance shot. I don't get really excited by big antler racks, or body weights, or much else about deer. I don't get overly excited about inches of rack, well unless, never mind about those, yardage is what gets me fired up. 447 yards on a little buck chasing a doe. Settled the 400 yd hash on him holding a little high for the additional 40 is yards and squeezed, watched him fold in the scope. Stepped off the remaining yardage to the light pole at 478 and came up with 447 yards. I know to the regular long range shooters that's not a huge leap, but for an old
country boy that just likes to shoot its a big accomplishment.
