See the deer ?

I had my mentored 14 y/o youth with me all day yesterday and nothing came close enough for him with his iron sighted 12ga 870 rifled barrel. He don't want a scope on it.......
We had 3 doe come in at 165 yards and bedded for the afternoon so I broke out my little Fuji F50SE and stuck it into the end of my Burris 18x45..... that was on 18X..
after about 3 hours they got up and began feeding towards the valley, still to far for the boy to shoot. Can anyone spot them in the photo ?

That made my day! Hilarious! Or maybe I am just tired after a full day of hunting. Gotta love photoshop....and considering I couldnt see the deer in the original, unedited pic, I feel better seeing the 2nd pic! :)

That was outstanding mrbill :D
Here's one of the original ones after cropping it a little...
If you don't see at least the one's ears, I'm ashamed of all of you...

I saw it Bruce!

We can't shoot does here in the Peoples Republic, except under special hunts which are few and far between.

I think it's great your taking the young man out!

we are begged to shoot them here in nc, even in my part of the state, which is close to the mtns. we have just too dang many does to bucks and the eastern part of the state is simply overrun with deer, especially does.

Yes Sir Mr. Preacher, I can see one now. Thought I was ready for a eye exam already. That's what happens when you don't listen to your mother when she told you to stop that. :) I didn't know what she was talking about till I needed glasses.:D
Have a good one !!!

What an excellent photo for a hunter safety training. It shows the value of optics and especially what is beyond target in heavy cover.

That is typical of our shooting in this area also.

Thanks for the outstanding photo.

I hate to admit it but I can't see anything clearly resembling a deer part. Maybe it's a hazard of not being in the snow or thick woods often.
