New Rifle not as accurate as I'd hoped...

That's more like it! First group @ 150 yds with Federal 73 gr Berger. Center black circle is 23/32nds. Why did it have to be the more expensive ones.
There you go ,without reloading you just have to try all the factory ammo you can to find the right combo. I don't buy centerfire ammo,but I know my rimfires always seem to like the expensive stuff. It's well worth it when you find the right stuff.
 
My daughter tried all the factory ammo that we got her for Christmas in her 223, 15 years ago. That was the same thing she told me. "Dad why does it have to be the most expansive ammo that shoots the best?" I replied "I don't know baby but it is always that way."
 
There is a good article on a site called Precision Rifle Blog with a lot of good information on torque values for action screws, scope bases, and scope rings of various different brands of gear. Good luck to you sir!
