New Press Set-up Ideas

We just moved into a new house this year and I am setting up my reloading set-up. I am considering something different this year and would like some input/ideas. Can anybody recommend either a good bench-mounted press stand or even a free standing press stand for the press? Thanks in advance. I've always mounted mine directly to the bench; but, have seen a few of these in use and would like to try either or both. I'll be running two presses anyway so what the heck.

I have both a Forster Co-Ax and a Redding Big Boss II press. I use a Inline Fabrication Ultra Mount with the quick change top. Each press has a base and then you can pop the press in and out of the mount. Two wing nuts and away you go. Comes in different heights to get it just right.
Check them out.

If you are planning on mounting to a bench, the Inline Fab mounts are great.

If you want a separate stand. I have a "tool stand" that I bough from Sears several years ago that is a sturdy, four legged metal stand with steel top and steel shelf that is also the leg braces.

Also, Lee makes a reloading stand that is a Three-Legged stand. Put a few bags of reclaimed bird shot on the shelves and either stand would be super solid for a single stage or progressive press.

3 for 3 for the inlinefab mounts.

Two houses ago, I had cramped reloading space inside the home. I had a lot more space in the garage, but some parts of the year it was a PITA to reload in the garage. Anyway, a inlinefab mount with the extra hardware to mount in two different locations, was a slick answer to my problem of reloading in two different locations with the same press.

Big Sky,
Don't know if you are looking for a complete setup or not, but I just saw on today's Bulletin, Natchez is having a sale ($199.99) on an RCBS Special 5 setup that (according to the advertisement, normally sells for $363.89). Personally I run a Redding Big Boss and an RCBS Rockchucker on my bench which fits all my needs for the different calibers I shoot and reload for.

All, thanks for the replies. I have all of the equipment I need and I have my bench. I've just been thinking of getting and trying the Inline Fabrication Ultra Mount or something similar; or, I may try an off-bench type stand. I appreciate all of the input. I've decided I'm for sure getting the Inline Fabrication Ultra Mount for one press. Is anybody using a freestanding press mount? If so, are you glad you did? Do you like it? If so, which brand do you recommend? Thanks again.

I made a stand for @ $30 out of 3/8 plate

You didn't say what kind of presses you have, but I have a Dillon 550b in a Dillon Strong Mount that I made an adapter plate to use my Redding Boss press. Very similar to the Inline setup, but I did this years before they were in business.

A lot of things work, but I can't imagine anything quicker and surer than the Inline Fabrication Quickmount system. Compact storage of all the equipment that should be bench mounted, and less than 1 minute to swap any piece for any other.

Below . . .
- On the right side of the bench an LNL AP and behind that an LNL Classic taking up less than half the 30" bench width.
- On the right front an RCBS Bench Primer in position for use on a flush mount plate. (You may or may not want to elevate, but this works perfectly for me and ALL my tools.)
- On the benchtop left-rear is a huge RCBS Universal Case Prep Center on a custom mount Dan made for me. Yes, it works great when on the flush mount.
- On the near end of the rolling cabinet are a vise and another tool in a storage plate, and on the rear in a flush mount is a Hornady Concentricity Tool.

I am just throwing in another shout out for Inline Fabrication. Dan makes a great product and is great to do business with.

BigSky, I have for sale an inline fabrication ultra mount for a RCBS rock Crusher. I will sell it for $45 shipped. I also have a roller handle and an LED light from inline fabrication.

My father-in-law purchased them for me as an Xmas gift in 2014. He lives in Oregon and knows the owners. At the time I already had an an ultramount on my press. They been sitting in the box ever since.

If you're interested PM your address and you can pay me when you receive them.

I built a bench on top of cabinets using maple butcher block and needed something that would allow me to put the presses in a cabinet to remove them from visibility. Ended up with my three presses being mounted to extra pieces of butcher block and then those boards being mounted to the top of the bench with bolts. I have brass inserts in the holes that the press bolts down to. The system ended up looking great and solid as a rock. I was originally considering t tracks, but advice on this site told me to stay away from those.
