If you have buddies like that you need new friends! I have told a few over the years to not come back. They either drove into a hayfield or left a mess. If you can't respect my property stay off.

I'm not sure all that would be necessary, as most of my neighbors shoot quite a bit.

That may change someday.

I had a friend build a giant muffler, couple of feet opening, that he'd stick the muzzle in.
Did a decent job at quieting the blast.

I use 4-5 ATV tires bolted or strapped together, does the same

When I retired I lost my place to shoot at longer ranges. I adjusted my shooting to rimfire, small rifle calibers, and pistols. Mostly rimfire and almost everything suppressed. A friend and I built a suitable range on his small property that will reach 200yds. I can get engaged with rimfire rifles at 100-200yds that I don’t miss the larger calbers. With a suppressed 22 we shoot away from but within 200yds of 4 homes and no one know’s we are there. I used discarded salt treated piling trims.

The only element not mentioned so far is the topography; is the land fairly flat or are those trees on low hills on/near your property?

All of the locations in the pic are on a slight downhill slope.
