New Labradar app!!!!!

New Android app available. It's a separate app. not an update.

The original app interface is still better...just by having the "Arm" mechanism at the bottom of every screen.

The settings interface is nicer/better on the newer app.

Well the device is setup to accommodate an external trigger from the get-go - and they're not expensive ($35) - so it was anticipated. They just decided not to sell that cheap component. The unit works very well as advertised. No complicated workarounds. (I've not had a single issue using the recoil trigger.) As far as the unit itself is concerned likely the most important rev 2 feature would be improving the alignment. The "notch" could be better designed. But again, there's always ingenious people out there who, with a few spare parts and some hot glue, can design a cheap improvement.

Frankly I see no purpose for the app currently and don't even bother with it. (If you want to critique the app you could add also the fact that you can't update the unit's firmware from it, sending the file via Bluetooth rather than having to use an SD card.)

So while you wait for the ver 2 everyone else is making good, easy and reliable use of their units. Just don't bother with the app for now. And understand the severe limitations of only looking at sample set statistics, no matter what calculates them for you. In my opinion, the app is completely useless if it doesn't calculate the relevant statistics - and sample set mean and SD ain't them.

I use the app because the controls on the machine itself are cumbersome, worthless, and impossible to remember. It also precludes standing up and leaning out to the rifle muzzle to make any kind of change (well, when it works, anyway.)

Personally, I use the chronograph for well, what it's called: a chronograph.

The old app wouldn't work at all on my phone (fatal hang on connection attempt), but the new one connected with no problem today. I'll have to wait for a range session to thoroughly check it out

I deleted the original app (v1.0.0) and installed the version on the Google Play store (v2.5.2). I see the Labradar with my serial number lists in the devices (in the app) but I can never get it to connect.
