Labradar App released

It took a few days. I sent a description of the problem, the version of the app I was using, the version of the operating system on my phone.
Thanks. I'll give it another couple of days.
Update: Labradar folks got back to me today. They asked for the model of my iPad and the version of the IOS, both of which I should have given them originally, but didn't (my bad). They also said they were working on the ability to use landscape, which I would find useful.

Loaded 1.2.1 today and phone loses contact with radar numerous times. Have to hold arm button on radar dwn 2 secs to get back to summary screen and it will allow phone app to reconnect. Samsung Galaxy S9 couple months old. 1.2.0 worked fine. Dope!

I'm running a Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and tried both 1.2.0 and 1.2.1 firmware levels. The original release worked for a couple of hours then had numerous disconnects. The latter seems a bit more stable (though that also may have just been chance.) 1.2.1 does not seem to reconnect as easily as the earlier version did; occasionally took power cycling and power off down time before reconnecting.) The updated version appeared to lose about a third of a 50ish shot string (overwrite? Fail to log? not sure exactly what until I bounce it against paper notes); though I do not know if that was unique to the updated firmware.

I see a pattern here. Looks like iOS works fairly well where Android is having a hissyfit.
Typical. The Android ecosystem is fragmented in part due to each vendor's unique value added customizations. The Apple ecosystem is a walled garden (which has its own issues), but fragmentation is not among their major problems.

I updated to 1.2.1 firmware and tried it during a test session...it was so bad with connectivity, I did not use the app. I'm going to rollback to 1.2.0

I'm sorry to hear folks having so much trouble. My Samsung S7 works fine with the app. I played with it at home prior to going to the range. I used the app Sunday at the range with out a problem. The only trouble I had was not with the app but getting the LabRadaer to see my .224 80 gr ELDMs. It saw my .224 77 gr TMKs fine. Don't know why this is. Maybe I didn't have it lined up just right. Larger calibers are never a problem.

On a 6mmBR, I find I get the best readings by doing as follows:

LR set up to the right by 18" or so, about a foot behind the muzzle (maybe a bit more - this is due to the bench arrangement where I shoot more than anything else.)

I initially aim the LR at the target using the "sighting notch". Then I give it a bit more left, and a touch of down.

This results in most shots being picked up, but the LR does not track it out to beyond about 50 yards. More playing with the setup is in order.

Labradar just updated their firmware from 1.2.1 to 1.2.2 Not sure what it fixed but I assume its a fix that they decided they needed. Anyone know what it does different. I can't see any difference although mine works good.

The install note doesn't have much additional info:

Firmware A: v1.2.2
Firmware B: v1.0.0

Bug Fixes and improvements:

- Minor Bug fixes

after several attempts to connect, I only succeeded ONCE. v1.2.2 does not fix the problem of connectivity with my Android.

Ok, so which version seems to be the most stable. I have an iPhone version and the Android on a 10" tablet. I'll take both the first time out and see which proves most stable. I'll report my findings if they seem significant.
