New Garmin Xero C1 Radar Chronograph

We tested mine against the Magneto and the Lab. This was across several different rifles .22 to a 50BMG.
The Garmin was always near 5 fps slower than the Magneto. 10 fps slower than the Lab.

All three units were very consistent.

I have noticed a few TESTS of the Garmin that seemed to focus on finding what it won't do.

The Garmin just plain works!!
Yeah, I am super impressed by this thing. I haven’t had a no read yet. Had a tough time getting the old chronograph lined up to read. My main concern was years worth of data, to understand of the Garmin was going to be a lot different, but it seems minimal, as I would expect.

I'm surprised at the spread you had

I am assuming that the Garmin would be the most accurate of all 3. Someone has to be the baseline!
It might be THE baseline. But at 1000 yards I can't shoot the difference between the three.

I was totally happy with my Lab performance (as were all my buddies).

My 72 year old body is wearing down. My stackable boxes are getting to heavy to lift safely onto my tailgate. I cut 10 lbs out of the box. The Lab and accessories were part of that. I can handle them now.
The Garmin weight savings is my big benefit.

I ran the MS and the Garmin for a test session as well and found my MS vs the Xero were different, MS bayonet read about 10-20 fps faster.
MS sensitivity set to second level, when I tried again the MS set on normal did not pick up my shots. Grr

Hey Fellers, I gave up on resisting yesterday and tried to order one and can't find one anywhere. Guess I will just have to wait for the next orders to come in. I've made it with out one for 78yrs so I don't guess another month or so will make any difference.... John
Keep checking Scheels and Cabelas, they seem to be the go to stores.

Hey Fellers, it's looking good, just got an email saying that they are processing my order so they may actually have them in stock.... John

They will not take the order if they are out, that is why you see them come and go on the website. Good for you to get one, it is so much easier to use than optical or MagnetoSpeed. Just point and shoot, no critical alignment needed. Picked everything I tried so far (air rifle, high power rifle, rimfire, pistol), just need to try it on the shotgun, ML, and bow. But I see no reason it should work as long as you set the correct use when setting up (very easy, no complicated menus).

Just got back from my first session. Easy to set up as advertised. Velocity and ES numbers were as expected but the SD on two groups was reading 2191 and 2211. What is the deal with that? One string was perfect. Is there and update for this? I haven't downloaded the app yet.

PS: I downloaded Garmin Express and did an update. I will try it again tomorrow. Now if one of you computer wizards can figure out how to download the sessions from the Xero right to the pc, that would be awesome.
The update took care of my problem 100%. This is one cool tool!
