New Garmin Chronographs

Got my new garmin out for the first time today. Worth every penny . I would just like a heavier tripod as some big wind could knock it off the table.

I love how in the phone app you can exclude shots and also mark the cold bore. It would be better in the app if you could long press a shot, then it would bring up check boxes next to all shots so you could select many shots easily to exclude them. You might exclude the first 5 foulers for example. Be nice not to have to do each one individually.

ive had one a while and like it alot to. have mine bolted to my rest. i think thats prob what most do but if i use it standalone ill definately get a heavier base. even a chunk of wood would work.

Same. I have two chronographs that will never be used again. I find the tripod works well, but I have a pretty steady platform at my range.

Garmins are proliferating like rabbits. My gun club pals keep showing up with them. I'm guessing the count is a dozen or so by now. The Garmin just sells itself.

Don't bother with the tripod.

Just set the unit down on the bench. Works fine and is more stable.

I'd hate to be a dealer with a large LabRadar inventory right now.

I use a small camera tripod table top that works very well. I just fold it up and put it in my shooting bag.

At our last match all but two shooters had a Garmin on the bench. Our local sporting goods store had 6 LabRadars in stock and zero Garmins, no pun intended. LabRadars were still marked at $495.

Does it capture arrows? I read it does just wondering if anyone tried it. I assume it can also do shot shells?

Yep has a setting for arrows.
I'd like to know how to mark cold bore shots.
Humm, found it. Now I'm "learnt" !

Haven't tried the arrows, but it will trap rubber bands!!

Don't bother with the tripod.

Just set the unit down on the bench. Works fine and is more stable.

I have a gun mount for it, tripod mount, and clamp on table top mount. All with Arca clamps, so I keep an Arca clamp on the bottom and also will just lay it on the bench top. It's not really picky about mounting!

It looks like they have plenty of them on Amazon. You can order a case (hard or soft) and a table-top tripod all at the same time.

If you haven't already, maybe you are planning to, consider sent an email to Garmin with your suggestions. The more users write them suggestions the more likely they will include your idea in a future app update. I have sent several already and will send another with your suggestions as I think they would be a beneficial feature. If I remember correctly they have a contact page in the support section for the Zero C1. They state up front you may never hear anything back and what ever you suggest that they like they will steal.
