New ELR world record!

There have been several people asking about the equipment used so here is a rundown, Target was 2158, no spotter, 3 shots, cold bore and two followers, 36x36 Target, rifle was bought used with only 3 rounds fired and is a factory Savage 112 Magnum Target Action and Barrel 1-9 twist 26” long, rifle basics trigger, ARS Chassis, Ivey Adjustable Mount, Vortex Golden Eagle scope, 300gn Hybrid .338 Berger Bullets, Lapua Brass, Retumbo Powder, Federal 215M Primers, Henry Rempel Bi-Pod and StrelokPro Ballistic App. $4100.00 was my total cost for the rifle as fired. Total round count on rifle including the match is 132. I hope this answers most questions.
Congratulations on a job ver well done! You prove the point that much can be achieved with almost standard equipment !

Congratulation and a great job. I do appreciate your sharing of information and because of that.
Your endeavor has inspired me. I and my son are on the same path. We are just beginning. I to just purchased a rifle new off the rack. I have a chassis from a different build I am going to place it in. I have some question for later.
I have a question about the procedure. How did they come up with the distance? Is it a percentage of the last record set?

Randy,
It was a pleasure to meet you, you're shooting skills are well known here in Ohio. Randy gives lessons to all the shooters regularly at Raynor Range in eastern Ohio. You shot well and enjoyed I talking with you, all the best for you!

I know that this is an old thread but I was wondering of the expected terminal velocity of the bullet.

Assuming a muzzle velocity of 2700fps, JBM estimates barely 1000fps at 2200yd. Is this expected?
