NEW doppler chronograph coming to market!

Also, I see the display reads out to the first decimal place. Is the chronograph actually able to resolve down to 0.1 of a fps? How accurate is it at that resolution?

The manual has a discussion of some of the issues, but not all of them.

There is a section on correction factors that are based on the separation distance from the unit to the rifle centerline and the distance where the unit fist picks up the projectile. Eventually this unit will proliferate and be run against other units at ballistic facilities. Until then there isn't enough to worry about, so I will sit and wait. YMMV

Thanks for the excellent follow-up video, John. It's great to see your beta unit in action!

I love my Labradar. I use it all the time. It's dead reliable. And it hasn't missed a shot since I went to a 30-dollar red dot sight, to aim it, a year ago. But having the same technology in a dramatically smaller package would be a pretty compelling advantage. Not a fan of mounting on a rifle. But I have the same Rodzilla front rest as you, and will make the AndiScan work with that. Very much looking forward to getting my hands on a copy.

Congrats on the new CZ 457. Quality .22 rimfires, even more than their centerfire cousins, seem uniquely whimsical in what ammo they like. My Anschutz 1712 likes Eley Tenex best of all (Actually, I should say that it likes certain lots of Tenex!). And for hunting or pest control, Eley 38gr High Velocity Hollow Point prints remarkably small groups, for being hunting ammunition.

Good luck in the NRL match.

Quick question... what is the forearm adapter you're using with your CZ?

Thanks again for what you do for our shooting community. There's a lot of us who look forward to your videos.

Never been to a range that has wifi. Id recommend a bluetooth option. Is there an option for an external trigger or is it built in? I'll hang on to my labradar for now. Good video John
The chrono may have wifi built in. Also, would be interesting to run the new unit against the tried and true Oehler 35

@F Class John - Would be interested to see how this unit functions behind big boomers with obnoxious brakes , It took me a while to get my early Labradar to function reliably and only really got resolved using the "wired trigger" and a decent stand off with the Labradar - The size is intriguing , if it produces the same results - it certainly would make a great addition to the range bag.

Dang, I must be pretty complacent..... I've been happy with my Labradar. Gives me the velocity every shot!
I wish I had the same luck with mine. I tried aiming to the left of the target a little like F-Class John does and I get 8 out of 10 shots to register most of the time.

It seems like mine has been going down hill, when I first got it the thing was awesome but now almost a year later it’s dropping shots so often as to almost be useless, I read about it online and ordered a trigger for it, I hope that helps,

I went and did a little testing yesterday and everything worked great. Unfortunately I forgot my main camera but I thought I would show what the files looks like when you pull it up on your phone or tablet or computer. Keep in mind this is strictly the data file, not the interface while you are shooting.1653510053859.png1653510076189.png

If it works better or as good as the Labradar I am in for sure, even if just for the fact that it will fit in my range bag and I don't have to lug around another case.

When will this chrono be out to purchase??
Excellent question! Hopefully this year - just speculating because I believe the developer is still seeking to fine tune and improvement before going to mass production, hence why F-Class John is helping with Beta Testing.

received a email today, 1st production run is shipping. 896 Euros or $912 USD shipped. I had one in my checkout cart but decided I will hold off a few months since I will not be shooting much till the end of summer. 90 + degrees with 100% humidity is just miserable

I am hoping someone in the US will import them. I had one in my cart also but decided to hold off for now.
I've talked to him about hooking him up with a guy I know who can handle it but I don't think he's at that stage yet. Hopefully in time it will happen.
