That sounds like a nice feature. The noise from other shooters has me much pretty much leaving the LR on the case and grabbing the Magnetospeed with the wiser mount.

Takes less then a minute to reset the sensitivity. Yours may be peaked
out. I leave mine on 3 and have no problems. I have set it at the highest
level to test the shooter on the next bench over. Initially I picked up
nothing from his 260 Remington. Switched to the 7mm Mag with brake
and my Lab would pick a few of his shots. Set the system on 3, and
picked up no more. I left it on 3, and that was almost 5 years ago.
