New Coup De Grâce Bolt Action -- Thoughts?

Probably need more than just a picture to check it out...some good things, some not so much. The 5/16" bolt and handle would be eliminated on my rifle...as would the auger looking bolt... I ain't moving bushels of corn up to the silo for storage look...plus looks like it could rip a chunks of meat off your fingers if they get in the way...something a lot lass aggressive looking and still be functional. Don't like the cocking piece set up....smoother lines...not multiple cuts in the reciever. The rest seems palatable...I'd have to cycle the action 70° bolt, to see if I like it.. maybe take some measurements, check quality up close. Is the trigger hanger for 700 type triggrrs?

I promised the wife I was done with "new" builds. But, considering this. Aside from physical appearance, I'm more interested in function and quality. I've always said, I'd shoot a pink rifle with D!*cks painted on the side if it always won me matches.

At least they got rid of the coat hook looking bolt stop.

A lot of comments on the bolt knobs, every time. I can’t say I felt much different until I actually tried one.

I had my hands on a couple of ARC rigs. Couldn’t help myself and ended up with an early Mausingfield that is slick as butter.

I hope that ARC can get settled down and quit with all the GenI,II,III etc.

This one makes me want to order one as others mentioned and have no idea for what!

That was a step up from that rotating screw from the 1st gen Nucleus.

I returned both of my MBrace rings because they were a poor fit with my Vortex Gen2 scope. One set fit, one didn't. My tube diameter was exactly 34.00mm and the ARC rings wouldn't let the scope turn to level the reticle. The fit was too tight. They swapped the bad set but the replacement set had the same issue. I ended up sending back both sets and getting NF rings, they fit just fine. I prefer the NF rings, they're less clunky anyway.

I hope that ARC can get settled down and quit with all the GenI,II,III etc.

Me too, but I have a feeling that's just Ted doing his thing.

Even though the fluting is going the wrong way, lol, I believe Ted will sell a boatload of these at this price. The shroud lines are the best yet to my eye! Lol! A lot of nice features for the money, to be sure. If I were in the market for an action I would certainly try one. But, that bolt knob would be the first thing to go bye bye!

With Defiance's price adjustment being offputting for so many, there quite a desire for a quality action in this price range. Now, it's only an introductory price, but it's still promising.
