New chambered 6mmbr has cases sticking

I recently had a new barrel chambered for 6mm br and have had problems since using it. when the gunsmith did a test shoot the bolt drop was extremely hard, then when trying to extract the shoot the bolt wouldn't go back unless using a mallet on the bolt handle.
So I took it back to the gunsmilt after I reset the the chamber with my go gauge. still going back to the range the cases were sticking, with scoring on the brass.
So back to the gunsmith. He redid the head space, and reamed the chamber to fix the head space issue.
So back to the range and again the cartridges had to be extracted with a mallet.
Again back to the gunsmith and now he tells me my new laupa cases are 1/5 of a thousands over length after shooting, and expanding, and a person can see the mouth of the case is curled inward.
So he recommends trimming down my cases so they don't curl over.
I wanted to see who might of ever had an issue like this and what they did? I really don't like the idea of trimming 300 new, and 200 3 shot lapua cases at over $1.00 a case.
Any thoughts would be appreciated

Sounds like his reamer is a BR Rem reamer. The neck length issue can be fixed with a neck reamer. The base is where the problems will arise once thats fixed
I was just thinking the exact same thing.
Get a copy of the reamer print if possible

Heres and update. I measured the brass that was curled on the end, and where the curled end stops measure coal of 1.50 specs I fins for sami spec is 1.556 coal so I'm looking to see what other reamers have different lengths like for rem, norma or lapua brass

I think you mean case length. I am almost sure your chamber was cut with a 6mm BR REM reamer. 6mm BR REM has a max case length of 1.520". 6mm BR Norma has a max case length of 1.560". The main difference is that the neck is .040" longer on the 6BR Norma.

Looks like it's either lengthen the neck area of the chamber or trim the brass back to make it fit. Definitely not going to work with the brass binding in the chamber.

I doubt you could even chamber a round if your neck was .060 longer than the chamber! If you did and fired rounds this way consider yourself lucky to be in one piece! One way to find out for sure is to take a fired case and size it. Then see if it will chamber easily with no bullet in it. If the neck is pinched down start trimming and sizing until it stops getting crimped. That will be your max case length. I would consider getting a new Smith as well!

I would find a new smith. Just my two cents Tommy Mc

the members who thought my chamber was cut with a remington die were correct. I'm getting it corrected because I can't see cutting .040 off my cases not ot mention doing 500 rds of bass, with 300 rounds being new, and then redoing 100 rds that are already loaded.
