UPDATE!
I took the 9 shot brass from last weeks experience. I took cases that were hard to extract and annealed them (first time), then took a sharpie and painted 5 the brass cases completely.
Last night I fired 4 rounds of the Hornady brass that was sticking in the chamber. The first 3 went well, the fourth case I had to hit the bolt to extract out of the chamber. I then chambered a painted round.
After extracting the round (actually it came out easy) inspected the brass and noticed that the neck and shoulder were fin (missing some of the paint).
Fired the remaining painted rounds and they all looked normal marks on the brass where I would expect them to ware off the paint.
I wondered if the sharpie coating was causing the brass to extract easier due to some of the paint transferring to the chamber and giving it some lubrication.
After shooting all test Hornady brass, I then fired 8 rounds of the Starline brass and had no issues.
My conclusions are:
1. Hornady brass is my issue.
2. Annealing the Hornady brass did not help
3. Did not see any strange marks on the painted Hornady brass after firing and extracting.
4. Starline Brass works better in this gun.
5. Getting rid of Hornady brass.
Maybe I just got a tight chamber is the Savage Model 12 FV.
I shoot the Hornady brass in my 6.5 Creed Light gun to use them up.
Thanks for watching... ;-)
