New cartridges released

Sorry for doubting you, I've been waiting for you to come out with the 30-06 from your beginning. Should have looked at all the threads from you to avoid putting my foot in my mouth.

Hi Tim! I'm fixing to build a 7x47 Lapua for myself and I'm considering your brass. Is there a specifications page or tech data on your site that I didn't see?

I'm wondering about the primer pocket size and flash hole size as well as nominal neck brass thickness of the 6.5x47 brass. I realize it'll thin a tad after necking up. Thanks in advance!--Mike

Mike , I'll get you some information this evening when I'm at our facility.
Thanks

I can't believe there is more demand for .270 than any WSM..... I mean how much brass can all 10 .270 owners use???:D
If you make brass people use and buy a lot of you have to dedicate a lot of time to that one cartridge. Its hard to build up inventory if everybody buys what you make. Of course im just joking here but i would love to know the reasoning behind some of these choices. The folks that shoot 270win are perfectly happy with winchester brass for the 20 pieces they will need every 28years. They should hire me as a consultant

My point precisely! Although I'm glad to see them interacting with us shooters...the 270 just shocked me. I don't ever remember seeing a 270 on an equipment list, anywhere.....ever.

As he mentioned in a thread, they will make tooling to do a family of cartridges. So when they decided to make 30-06. It’s not that hard to make similar cases. 280 and 270 fall into this. I would believe that the 270 cases will be used to also make 6.5-06 and 25-06 by some shooters. The longer neck on the 270 will be better to trim to length.

I'm loving your SRP brass in my 243AI. I'd be very happy to see 300WSM. There seems to be a real shortage in 6 Dasher brass right now. I use it for my 270 MSR and currently the guys selling once fired cases are getting the same as I paid for new cases when I completed the build.

That and we don't know what their market research shows. I've always been surprised how few wildcatters I actually run into at the range (excluding matches). Most reloaders I meet are shooting standard rounds of various sorts. So while there may not be a lot of buzz about 270's and the like on a site like this, it's possible the overall market for premium brass in the more run of the mill offerings may be bigger than we give it credit for. Who knows, they could be making brass for somebody else as components or loaded ammo that we aren't aware of.

One thing I do know though, if it's selling well for them, they'll keep making them. If they don't, they won't. Which reminds me, with deer season coming up I should probably put in an order for some of their boring 270's for my boring 25-06 that needs some new brass :D
