New CA Law Banning Promotion of Guns to Minors

One of these days an initiative to split up the State will finally be approved. There have been many attempts and nearly all would have left the majority of those who are the problem in CA looking to other "states" for their survival.
The Dems in this state don’t care about anything but tax money, they’ll never let it split up because of that. We had the biggest push I’ve ever seen to split the state up about 5 years ago and it wasn’t even close.

Keep fighting for your freedom. Someday, it is going to happen. I don't live in CA anymore, so it is up to you and yours.

Excuse me, but before you cut our power and water, do a little research;
It's true, you won't get your avocado toast. Try varying your diet. Might I suggest some Montana beef, some Alaska salmon, some Idaho potatos, some Iowa corn, some South Dakota wheat, some Washington apples and some Florida Oranges to fend off scurvy.

We have the most active duty personnel in the US military.
California Is Still The Largest Contributor To The U.S. Manufacturing Industry; Productivity Growth In The State Industry Eclipses Performance In The Nation.
California is the 6th largest economy in the world.

And if California succeeds, hold onto you wallets:

Hasta la Vista, Baby! What Happens if California Leaves the Union?

So, maybe rethink what is actually contributed by California.
Move the military out of CA. Easy transition. As far as manufacturing, you are hemorrhaging companies like no other state in the union has since the dust bowl. In the end the only people left there will be those on the dole and those who have convinced themselves that they need to pay for it. Those paying for it will be working for companies outside CA because smart companies refuse to pay 25 cents per kwh of power and fight the environment freaks who are pissed that they are consuming said power. The rest of us are not enamored with the dictatorship that CA has become. But you should definitely stay.

The anti-gun stuff is building here. My city/county just this week banned a gunshow held at a County public fair facility. The ban was based on yet another bill signed by Newsom. This gun show had been conducted for over 30 years, with no safety incidents EVER to my knowledge.

BTW, there was a post about dumb CA voters getting what they deserve. Much truth in that. However, there is very compelling evidence of massive voter database issues and corrupt ballot harvesting in the State. And there is absolutely no question that illegals are managing to vote. My brother worked at a L.A. County voting center some years ago. Dozens of non-English speaking persons came to his precinct. They were given utility bills by Democratic partisan groups outside the polling place. He was told by his supervisor that he had to let these people vote so long as they had a utility bill, even if their names were not on it...

Now, there is no ID, and there is universal vote by mail. CA has a one-party system. Just like Communist Russia, it will be controlled so the Republicans can never again take power.

California's problems stem back to amnesty and citizenship in the 1980's, never did recover after that previously illegal voterbase joined, thank Reagan.

And the same for Oregone. We are now Northern CA.

The fraud is likely massive but still pales in comparison to what can be done with electronic voting machines. Having spent over 40 years as a software engineer I can change the value of a column in a row of a database with one command. I can change the value of a column in all rows of a database with one command. Ask yourself how some electronic voting machines attributed votes to the wrong candidate and how the issue was corrected. One SQL command. Then ask yourself how to know what happened initially and how to tell that the rows were updated correctly. Answer, you can't. It seems that there is no audit trail or logs that could be culled to create an audit trail.

Boss Tweed of Tammany Hall figured out a long time ago that ballots don't matter. The only thing that matters is the counting of the ballots behind closed doors.

I should add, I was not a database expert as a software engineer. Anyone who knows how to use a computer and google can learn SQL.

Lose California? Would it hurt? Absolutely........for awhile, but the rest of the nation would recover very rapidly......California would get hurt a LOT worse and would NOT recover so rapidly. IF they recovered at all.

They would figure out they WERE the tail wagging the dog.

Not saying I would be in favor of it. California is definitely worth fighting for......along with the entire left coast. Literally and figuratively. The problem isn't the land, it's most of the inhabitants in relatively small areas. IT'S THOSE DAMNED BIG CITIES.
Well Said! BIG CITIES are like BIG GOVERNMENT and BIG CORPORATIONS!
They BOTH ATTRACT BIG CRIME!!

Yessir. I have friends and aquaintances in central-northern Ca-lee. To the person they are at least as conservative minded as myself. And equally mystified by the election results. There is definitely a stench wafting from the ivory towers of the far-left coast.

We know what they would say. The same thing they said when our boys came back from Nam.
Hanoi Jane sold the POWs out and taught the airport clowns well.
She even passes my contempt for James Carter.
I think her father’s casket must be on Timken roller bearings.
I have on occasion have gone to the VFW hall in town.
No better place to take a leak. Both urinals have
‘I’m not Fonda Hanoi Jane stickers in them.’
I lack the vocabulary to express the depth of my hatred.

When you say ‘taught the airport clowns well’
Am I correct that you mean that group that welcomed us/me home at Travis AFB?
If so, my only pleasure is I have probably outlived the majority now. I was 22 when I came home after 5+ years in the service and the last 17 months in VietNam.
I only turn the news on to see who dropped dead the night before that I despise.
So far I’m doing really good.

Gruesome Newsome is just pandering to the left wing base as part of the run up to the 2024 election, As bat shit crazy as he is - don't under estimate him or his ability to manufacture votes. He has been groomed for this since childhood.

From Safari Club International:

A coalition of outdoor groups sued the State of California today in federal district court in Sacramento challenging a recently passed law banning the “marketing” of firearms to minors. The legal challenge by Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation, SoCal Top Guns, Safari Club International and Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation seeks to protect youth hunting, shooting sports and education in the state.

Although described by Gov. Newsom and supporters as a prohibition on marketing the sale of firearms to youth, the new law goes well beyond direct advertising to include any marketing activity involving firearms and firearm accessories. This includes not only the purchase of firearms, but lawful use. The law’s broad terms also prohibit marketing hunter education, school-sponsored firearms teams, youth hunts, youth camps that include firearms training and even short seminars or “how to” events. The law is so broadly written that it bans social media, leaflets or flyers, videos, magazine articles or any other communication that showcases or illustrates the use of firearms by youth.
