NEW 800 yd range in Louisiana

I will check it out. 36 miles from the house. About the same distance to Honey Island (100yd only).
We go to Pascagoula for 600yd F-Matches, used to be a member but it's a 2 hr drive just for practice?
I wonder if the $500 member fee applies to Husband and Wife, or $500 each?

I sent a message.
Pascagoula is $100 for Husband and Wife but a little over 2 hour drive and I'm pooped before I get there :)
Palo-Alto (haven't been) is a little further. That's why we frequent Honey Island, $75 Family but it's only 100yd, and yes there are berm shooters there.
We are currently practicing for 600 F-Open, and hope to make 1000yd (Pascagoula) some day.

Got a reply. Might make an appointment to take a look before the 17th.
As a wife myself, you can bring her every time! The opening match on September 17 is free and will be a 600 yard any gun any scope match.
Barring bad weather We plan on being there.

Did they say anything about anything about a covered firing line. I guess I'll have to make a plan to attend. I wish they had a few pictures on their website.

No pictures and doesn't show on GoogleMaps yet.
There's a 1.3 mile clear space, East/West just above the Miley Cemetery that would provide a safety zone for an 800yd range. Maybe that's where it's at.
Wife and I will probably make a look see trip next week.

Any idea if PRS style matches are in the future for this club? I’d make the drive from just south of Baton Rouge.
Jim

Looks like PRS rigs in that pic.
If I can get off work I might make a run over there. It would be nice to shoot again. It’s been awhile. And this new place is less than a hour from the house.

Just came back from a visit there. It has covered shooting area, shotmarker targets plus steel. Jake (the owner) seems like a great guy and willing to bend over backwards to make sure you have a good time. I'll try to be there on the 17th for initial shoot.

Up from my post range NAP.
Wife and I made the 600 yd meet, along with about 30 others.
Some old guy and his wife showed up with 22 Nosler ARs :)

We both had a great time even though our shooting was sub par.
I have some range pics to post later.
Here is my score card.
I really need to practice more.
