P.S. It's pretty easy to get 7 Mag velo out of a 7 SAUM with considerably less powder/recoil/blast.

The 2 replies about the 7mm SAUM are very interesting. I started shooting Bench Rest just this year and have been loading the 6mm PPC (at first it was scary loading stuff that hot) but I learned a lot and how 'hot' can the 7mm SAUM be pushed? Nothing crazy, I would not crowd the lands or grooves.

7mag is always a solid choice and love mine but I also have 7mm stw I have taken to Wyoming for deer and it is like a laser beam. It’s a little harder to find brass for but if I’m right it’s not very different then what they 28 nosler is doing now so that could be a solid choice for more velocity.

Once you go above a 6.5, then it becomes a 7TC! Seriously now, a 280 Rem would also be a good choice.

Found a used/like new H-S Precision 2000 SPL in 280 AI and put a Swarovski 3.5-18x44 on top. First range trip showed the test target load is honest. Waiting to get back to validate the load and zero. The biggest challenge was finding the bullets and powder to replicate the load.

Just started thinking of something, I've been reloading rifle less than 2 years (pistol for decades) and with the short supplies on everything (ammo, brass, powder, primers, etc.) Am I correct in assuming that components for 7mm PRC (again, brass, DIES!!!, etc.) will be in short supply for a very long time?
Maybe better to stick with 7mm Rem Mag or Rem SAUM?????

If i remember correctly, @davidjoe built a 300 Win Mag due in part to difficulty finding SAUM cases.

Myself, i shoot 7mm-08AI most of my 7mm's.
Just purchased a Weatherby Mark V in 7mm Weatherby Magnum.
