which barrel twist for 7mm Rem SAUM?

flexible

Silver $$ Contributor
Hi everyone, flexible here. Looking to get a 7mm rifle late winter (was thinking of waiting for the 7mm PRC but I know a couple of people with the 6.5 PRC and I don't want to wait years for brass supplies to become available.
Likely going with the 7mm Rem SAUM (I know, brass is scarce but I'm on 3 different wait lists).
From my reading it looks like getting the right barrel twist is critically important.
I'm looking at loading: Berger 180gr VLD's, Sierra 175 Match Kings and/or Hornady 162 ELD-M's.
Does anyone have experience with these bullets and which twist would be best?
thanks

Those will all stabilize just fine in a standard 9 twist barrel. If you're worried about it go 8.5 or 8 but it really isn't needed. Even at sea level in standard conditions at 2700fps the 180 Berger has a stability factor over 1.5 with a 9 twist.
