New 6XC--New brass HARD to chamber

I recently had built a 6XC, and for whatever reason, new brass is very difficult to chamber. The reamer is a PT&G from Grizzly, and according to a post made here by Dave Kiff himself is the same reamer that he provides Tubb. According to Dave, this reamer should work with all brass. Thoughts? Ideas?

May one assume you have run them through a sizing die first?

If it is the Norma brass..... I had the same issue and found that the rim of some of the cases was one to two thousandths thicker than the rest. The symptoms were that it made for really hard bolt close.

Also, make sure that your primers are seated flush. I'm guessing you may have a nice tight rifle and everything will have to be right on the money.

If practical, you might want to take this up with the gunsmith that built it and see if he has any input or ideas as well. WD

One should NOT assume that.

In fact, I was trying to get on here this morning to delete this post before anyone saw it. lol

I got up this morning and said to myself, "self, even though you've never had a problem with new brass needing to be resized, you should try and resize the brass and see if that fixes it". Sure enough, that did the trick. Chambers easy now. D'oh!!!
