Just finished putting together my first 6BR. Bartlein 5R 30 inch barrel, Rem 700 action w/bushed firing pin, in a Gary Eliseo R5 stock. Started with some of the regular loads listed here 107 MK's beginning at 30 grains of Varget with CCI BR-4 and Russian SRM primers, and Berger 105 VLD's with same powder charges. Velocities seemed to be in line with what other people have posted, but accuracy and chrono numbers were not what I though they should be. Went to the range again today, and tried some H4895 with the Russian primers. Made a big difference. I am getting an average of 2912FPS with SD of 2 and ES of 6 with the 107's. At 200 yards this shoots with 1/4 minute of vertical and sub 1/2 minute grouping. I'm glad I looked at the load chart again and found the load that was listed for 29.5 of H4895. All bullets were moly coated. None of the loads are showing pressure signs, and I shot these from prone with irons. Needless to say I am tickled.
