Barrel twist? For the guys looking for a good hunting bullet in the 30BR you may want to try the Nosler 125 gr. Accu-bond. I worked up a load with my rifle and it would definitely work well on deer no doubt. Load was Lapua necked-up and once fired brass - 125 GR. NOSLER AB with 30.0 gr. AA-LT-30 FED 205M PRIMER. My rifle liked these seated @ .024 OTL and produced a 3-shot group measured .230 and followed with a 5-shot group measured .352 Makes me want a light weight hunter in 30BR.
NSS sells 30br?Northland Shooter's Supply
Anyone buying any sort of pre-fit 'nutted' barrel in 30BR should have the reamer print sent to them before clicking the 'buy it' box. There's some out there that are total jokes.NSS sells 30br?

I don't think so eitherNSS sells 30br?
You are about .001" out of tune. Just barely move the tuner. Bet that load will go in the same bullet hole..Checked out my ODCR 700 BR 30BR today with the 118 gr. Bibs to see how much I would need to spin my E C V2 tuner since there was about 35 - 40 degree Temp. change along with app. 40% drop in Rel/Hum. Setting back in the higher Temps. was @ 40 so I decided to go ahead and back it out to 35 before trying the group. The rifle/tuner made me look like I knew what I was doing as it shot @ .164 @ 100 yds. I had a 10 mph headwind and was watching my home made wind flags (stake with surveyor tape stapled on the top) Looks like I need some practice with that and rightfully so. Bart just recently scolded me for not using them.
I'd sort of agree. It's rare to see a 6BR good enough to win a 100 yd VFS match. That said, the first two 250-25x scores were shot with a 6 PPC by the same shooter with two different rifles, one an HV and the other a LV. The whole reason to switch to 30's was for the bigger bullet hole. That said, Gene Beggs once said a 30 BR was the most accurate rifle he ever saw shoot in his tunnel. So, it remains all about barrels, all else being equal.Little history lesson. Actually the 30BR is older than the 6BR. Although it was not called a 30BR back then. In March of 1961 a cartridge by the name of a 308x1.5-inch Barnes was developed. It's almost a duplicate of todays 30BR. A number of people back in 62&63 necked the 308x1.5-inch up and down. Mike Walker standardized the 6BR Remington in 78. Norma introduced their 6mm Norma BR case in 1996. I wouldn't say a 30BR leaves the 6BR in the dust. It depends on the application. For short range score especially at 100 yards shooting a 6BR is like bringing a knife to a gunfight IMO. In my 9 years of SR score shooting I've never seen a 6BR win a 100 yard agg. I've only seen a 6PPC win a 100 yard agg 2 times. So that says something about a 6 vs a 30 in that particular instance. At 200 and 300 the 6BR is not bad because at those yardages your just trying to stay clean. You might get out x'ed if a few people stay clean at 2 & 300 with a 30, but just staying clean is hard enough at those yardages.
Absolutely it's all about the barrels.I'd sort of agree. It's rare to see a 6BR good enough to win a 100 yd VFS match.
