First range trip with new 30BR

Lapua brass
Necks turned to give 0.330” loaded
Thought so but the internet is forever. Wouldn't want anyone ordering a .332 reamer as a no turn 30 BR...especially with the new brass on the market. I wasn't even positive about that. Based on recent Lapua brass, I think a .334 or maybe .335 would be a good no turn chamber. Gotta check. It's a moving target these days. Thanks

It’s been covered in the 30BR section and likely in many other threads….no turn for 30BR would be tricky using necked up brass. Until someone decides to make true 30BR brass turning is pretty much required. Pic is a formed case before turning. The bulge at base of neck used to be shoulder of the 6BR.

Nah, just seat above that. The newer Lapua brass ran a bit thicker but no other changes. That spot has always been there. No turn is very doable with just about anything. FWIW, I use to think otherwise but I proved it to myself that I was wrong.
