New .22 bench rest build ?

Okay, folks, if you were to build a brand new .22 LR bench rest rig capable of competing out to 400, what components would you use. Thanks for your input.

Factory Suhl with Hoehn tuner.

Sadly my example shoots with every custom rimfire I have costing 4x or more in price.

Otherwise:

Holeshot trident
BixAndy or PQP trigger
Mullerworks barrel
McMillan Edge stock
Kelby rings
Valdada optic
Hoehn tuner

Though the 2500X and Trident are popular. I have seen and shot the V3 Turbo and if I was to build a new RFBR that would be my choice. Benchmark 3-G barrel and Flavio BR trigger. Stock would be wood and there are bunch out to choose from.

But if you are on a budget an older match 54 such as this example. find a good smith and have a good barrel put on it. I prefer Benchmarks.

The Precision Woodcrafting bedded stock IMO is the only way to go especially if going the HoleShot arms route. Randy Owens (owner of Precision Woodcrafting) has bedded Turbo actions as well.
Turbo’s win. HoleShot wins. Suhl wins. 10X wins. Someday a Vudoo will win.
it is all about the barrel and ammo. IMHO

At what distance to target? Very nice group.
I only shoot 50 or 100 yds. the Lapua test group is 50 meters. here is the same rifle with 2-back to back 100yd 5-shot groups. not bad for a rifle produced 55-years ago. goes to prove what I have been saying barrel, chamber and ammo. get all 3 correct and these are the results possible.

I have a 7 twist 3 grove Pac Nor 22BR barrel on a Savage Target Action. Shoots 80 Noslers sub 1/2" at 350 yards with RL17.
umm Terry.. sorry to break the news to ya.. but we're talking about rimfire rifles here my man.. But what you expressed isn't anything to be sneezing at either.. good job!

THIS 100%!!!
Mr. Owens just earned my business. Really nice and knowledgable to say the least. Look forward to finalizing the stock when the barreled action is finished and gets to him.

I have built in my shop a true fclass build with the new Vudoo single shot. I thought the action was very well thought out, and the action was very smooth. I didnt shoot it a lot before i put it up for sale what what little i did it performed extremely well. I think the vudoo single shot will make a real statement this year in the BR world. I would just about bet on it!
