It is 100% against PayPal policies to use PayPal to receive payments for Ammunition. Given how PayPal defines ammunition, this also applies to powder and primers (and possibly bullets).

NEVER EVER use PayPal to receive payment for ammunition, powder, or primers sold HERE.

Willful violation of this rule will result in immediate, permanent ban from the Forum.

We need responsible compliance with PayPal Rules because PayPal software is used for member upgrades.

Got my ass chewed from another member a couple weeks ago.
Trying to help a friend secure components
He got his PayPal payment rejected by the member because he put bullets in the memo.
My friend was naive to PayPal policies, and I failed to bring it up. My bad!

I deleted my PayPal account a couple years ago!
Way to liberal for this country boy!...
Some people on this site demand PayPal for payment which my conservative brain doesn’t understand but it’s all good as it will be easy for me to comply with Paul’s rules as I don’t have PayPal anyway.

You need to read Boss's post carefully. DO NOT SUGGEST WAYS AROUND IT OR YOU WILL BE A GONNER.

This action is being done bc AS uses PP as it's vendor for accepting payments for sponsors and Contributors as they are the only money transfer. This is from a similar thread on the Guns Classified section-

We use PayPal for our membership system — there is no other service which integrates with the Forum software. None. That‘s why this matters.

I just got rid of mine. Ain’t worth it. Getting your credit card locked or checking, whichever you have linked to it because someone puts anything gun related in the notes. NOPE, they’re bad news.

Pay-Pal will not let pay me with my checking account that I linked to my new bank debit card I got after my old card was charged with out my authorization now after a week of hours on the Phone talking to people that 80% of the time I can’t understand, I finally got it linked, but now when I go to Pay with my checking account which has always been free no charge they want me. To use some service called Yodlee which requires me to give them my online bank account password and username so they can log into my checking account to see if I have the funds said it was to help with Fraud! I call B$&@ S$&@ I’m not giving someone or company my private banking info ! Done with Pay-Pal unless it’s something that’s price low and the 3% is cheaper than driving to post office and buying a money Order or it’s a hurry up I need it tomorrow!

Yes, I'm also curious as to whether empty brass and projectiles falls under the no-go category. @Forum Boss, could you please confirm either way? Thanks!

Mike
Is it really worth it? It’s all good until it isn’t and then you’ll be in one hell of a bind with nobody to talk to and no way to resolve it, while your account is frozen. And it’s frozen because of firearm related issues, so they hate you and probably think you’re a domestic terror person and their horrible customer service gets even worse. I’m more impatient than anyone but I get a check from my bank teller and put it in the mail.

We are all searching for an alternative. I found Guntab.com. has anyone else heard of this? It is an escrow company that holds payment until the transfer is complete and then releases the funds. Claim to be pro 2ND amendment and charge 2.9%. I know nothing about them other than what my simple Google search found this morning.

Well I have a good one with Pay Pal
Our club just recently put in International bunker trap range (thanks to a $100,000.00 grant from Midway and the Porterfield's).
So to help the JR bunker program that we started, we got 2 Browning Over Under shotguns. Our plan was to do a Face Book raffle of these 2 shotguns, tickets were $20.00 each with 200 being sold. Well I want to tell you they went fast, and of course we took pay pal for one of the payment options. after both shotguns we raffled and our Pay Pal account was almost at $6,000.00 we got notification our account was frozen pending an investigation. Well the guy that was in charge immediately started to try and find out what happened.
He got no good answers other than there was a violation of terms.
# months went by and all of a sudden we got a notice that pay pal took the money and we would not get anything.
This sucks not only did we loose the almost $6,000.00 but we were out the $4,200.00 we paid for the guns.
It all came down to one of the people that got a ticket said gun raffle in the notes, this is all we can figure was the reason for the notification of our frozen account.
But it was nice of Pay Pal, after they took our $$$$$$$$ we were again allowed to use their service YEA RIGHT NOT HAPPENING

So maybe I missed it but is there a viable option to Pay Pal? I have had an account for a long time with no problems but I would change in a second if there was something else out there? Also, I can't for the life of me see why anyone would mention anything firearms or components related for online transactions unless it was a requirement. This situation is not going to get better anytime soon.
